SUBMIT YOUR WORK
We invite sex workers, sex work supporters, and allies to submit their work for the second issue of C920 Lab.
This is an opportunity to share your voice. Whether you want to write a personal reflection, an opinion piece, or a critical essay, we welcome your perspectives.
Below, you’ll find the submission guidelines for our THOT and VOICES sections, which are currently open for submissions.
Join us in shaping a platform that centers sex workers’ stories, knowledge, and creativity.

THOT is the space for essays that dive deeper into the complexities of sex work. We welcome critical and exploratory pieces that examine historical, sociological, philosophical, and artistic aspects of sex work. Writers are encouraged to blend personal insight with broader research or theoretical frameworks, allowing for nuanced discussions that challenge mainstream narratives.
🔹 Length: 800–2,500 words
🔹 Citation Style: Free
🔹 Formatting: Arial, size 12, double-spaced.
🔹 Submission: Please send your essay as a Word document or Google Doc with the subject line "THOT Submission – [Your Title]". -
This section is dedicated to opinion pieces written by sex workers, clients, and allies. VOICES is a space for personal reflections, industry insights, and perspectives on the political, cultural, and social aspects of sex work. Articles in this section can be personal or analytical, but they should be clear, engaging, and accessible to a general audience.
🔹 Length: 800–1,500 words
🔹 Formatting: Arial, size 12, double-spaced.
🔹 Submission: Please send your article as a Word document or Google Doc with the subject line "VOICES Submission – [Your Title]". -
INBOX is an epistolary space where people outside the sex industry — clients, family members, allies, critics, or the simply curious — can write to the sex worker community with questions, confessions, reflections, or open letters. This section exists to open a space for respectful dialogue, tension, and mutual curiosity — without fetishization, moralism, or hate. Some letters will be published to show how the outside world sees and engages with us; others may be answered directly by sex workers in our pages.
🔹 Length: up to 700 words
🔹 Tone: clear, direct, and respectful — no hate speech or slurs
🔹 Formatting: Arial, size 12, 1.5 line spacing
🔹 Submission: Please send your letter as a Word document or Google Doc with the subject line "INBOX – [Your Name or Pseudonym]"
